Festivities are a privileged instrument for the recreation of identity and for the outward projection of "what we are". We shall be reviewing here the promotion of Basque festive elements in Catalonia as an element of social cohesion and collective identity in the Basque diaspora and as a showcase that projects are constructed group image towards the rest of society.
