Summary

To start with this work describes the history of the so-called "Basque case" which from 2003 on wards has been taught in Harvard Business School and in over a hundred universities throughout the world and which deals with the strategies of economic development in the Basque Country since 1980. Then, starting out with the Basque case, the work examines the policies and strategies of competitiveness of the Basque Government in the last thirty years.
