Summary

Who is the target audience of contemporary music? The problem of the receiver is a matter that is imposed from the very beginning since all composers think of the target audience for whom their music is intended. This article deals with the current fading of the figure of the receiver in terms of market production and reception conditions, and of the incidence that this phenomenon had on static proposals and textual strategies of music in the 20th Century.
