Summary

Emiliana de Zubeldia Inda is an illustrious unknown personality in the study and repertoire of music from our country. She was born in Salinas de Oro (Navarra) in 1888 and died in Hermosillo (Sonora, Mexico) in 1987. She estudied in Pamplona, Madrid and Paris. Shortly before her fortieth birthday she crossed the Atlantic and began a new life in America, where she cultivated another imaginary biografphy. In 1920, she passed a competitive examination and gained a place as piano teacher at the Pamplona Municipal Academy of Music, a position from which she requested leave in order to continue studying in Paris, and to which she never returned. Her first compositions were received with praise ; her pedagogical ideas, set down in the report written for the competitive examination in Pamplona, were not keeping with those normally found amongst her colleagues at that time
