Summary

The aim of this article is the study of business entrepreneurship in the rural environment and in metropolitan areas of the Autonomous Basque Community (CAV). Our research focuses specifically on the following three areas: the profile of entrepreneurial companies, the characteristics of new companies and the means of finance used. The results of our research into these three areas reveal that differences exist between the rural and metropolitan areas in the Autonomous Basque Community when it comes to creating new businesses.
