Summary

Basque Civil Law is in need of a regenerating legislative impulse to renew some of its institutions in order to maintain its values and allow for its application by current juridical operators. The line of succession in Biscay is not intended to be an obstacle for such a legislative development and its inspirational principles are reflected in current law and jurisprudence softening its most constraining effects.
