Summary

There are clear signs of exhaustion of the development models, which are also associated to an anthropogenic climatic change, but we do not interiorise these facts due, in part, to false signals from the short-term markets. Mechanisms of response to climatic change and to the energy crisis, duly aligned, are ever more ample and reinforced: (post)Kyoto, energy savings and efficiency, and renewable energies, gaining time by means of gas and technologies. Interventionism with a more transversal and longer-term planning that breaks with the past is foreseeable, reorienting the economy to apply it to Sustainable Development.
