Summary

This work could be considered as complementary to the phenomenon known as Euskal Pizkundea or Basque Renaissance. It analyses the contribution made to it from Alava, particularly takinginto account the cultural movement emerging in the Vitoria Seminary. The artifices of this resurgence in Basque culture were Jose Migel Barandiaran and Manuel Lekuona. The rich creative pro-cess they promoted blossomed in dozens of young people and bore fruit not only in the first thirdof the 20th century but later on as well.
