Summary

Divided into several separate sections, the author speaks to us of the sorry situation of the Basque language in the French Basque Country. In spite of the fact that there has been an increase in the inscription for studies in Basque, the situation is still worrying, both for the Basque language in general and for the unified language in particular, bearing in mind that in education mainly the unified language is used, since the text books are made in the Basque Autonomous Community. Making some small references to the language spoken in Biscay and in Gipuzkoa, it is explained how the Basque language in the French Basque Country, has a greater or smaller incidence on society depending on the areas
