Summary

This paper examines the specific psychism of affluent populations and their social milieu from the perspective of globalization. Safe and stable environments have paradoxical psychosocial consequences, such as fear, anxiety and a lack of trust. These traits result in an immune-deficient psychism that takes refuge in the demand for protocols in which, nevertheless, there is very little faith.
