Summary

The aim of this research is to analyze the creation and the development of Hamaika TV. The main conclusion shows that the initial intention was to create a unique Hamaika TV at regional level, but the promoters opted to set up the project within the local television network. Despite the fact that they achieved licenses in many demarcations, nowadays it continues in the same line, turning into a Basque language television for the entire Autonomous Community.
