Summary

Swiss cantons are considered like «micro states» and enjoy quite large powers. There is no Swiss nation, but a «Willensnation» forged by the desire of its citizens to renew constantly the links that unite them: «Together, we defend the right to remain different». As a result, there have never been secessionist movements in the country.
