Summary

The connection between immigration, employment and the market is a constant in research carried out at national and international level as a result of neoclassical, structuralist or empirical paradigms that have analyzed the socioeconomic conditions of foreigners. Nevertheless, it is advisable to question the historical evolution of this relationship in which three periods can be distinguished.
