Summary

With the mobilization of civil authorities in February and March 1906, the army sometimes had to intervene in order to make the inventories of church properties possible. This did not happen without bringing about numerous problems of conscience for Catholic officers. Captain Couderc de Fonlongue during the inventory of properties of the church of Saint-Pierre-d´Irube was one of them.
