Summary

Hospitals, as many other economic entities, have submitted to the evolution of their environment. They must therefore be open to innovation and participate in the setting up of networks that will allow them to benefit from strategic advantages. Building such organisational grids means the development of physical or information network sustained, to a certain extent, by data processing and telecommunications. At the turn of this century, hospitals are in full transformation, opening up to new communication technologies, participating in the society of information which, in turn, generates organisational disorders.
