Summary

Commentaries to an article by E. Philipon on the names of the Iberian Peninsula and the relationship between the Iberian and Basque languages. The etymology of some words is analysed. According to the author, the language spoken in Aquitaine is ancient Basque, as the remains of this the Aquitaine language that remain are several hundred deity names and inscriptions, most of which carry a Basque name.
