Summary

This work shows in a comparative manner the existing symbols related with death in two communities in Galicia. The author presents some brief reflections on the stereotypes, all of which are articulated in the silences that take place in the generational gaps. This work concludes with the delimitation of physical spaces that correspond to the symbolic differences in the construction of the "ones" and the "others".
