Summary

In these ten considerations Folklore is taken as an Immaterial Ethnologic Heritage or Ideational Heritage. Management / intervention in folklore is usual and practised by different agents and depending on multiple motives and intentions, among which one of the most important today is the balance of the various strategies of collective identities. Any management and intervention manipulates and alters folklore. Would it be possible to establish certain desirable objectives and limitations generally accepted in the management of folklore? The design of folklore management and intervention policies must take into account the historical and cultural direction of the human group to which they are directed and folklore mechanisms of production that turn it into a symbolic value. A complete scientific knowledge, as well as social consensus, are perceived as the only limitations to the intervention.
