Summary

Land Planning in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country as from the approval of the 1990 Law refuses to face two important conflicts related to the agrarian sector. These two conflicts are the urban and industrial expansion, which takes over land of considerable agrarian value and the degradation of the soil in the wake of the mechanisation of terrain preparation works for forest plantations. This attitude, disguised under a falsely technical language, intends to facilitate capitalist expansion in detriment of the conservation of natural resources.
