Summary

This communication outlines the suitability of local studies for the analysis of associative phenomena. Even though the risks that this implies are taken into account, the authors insist on the contributions of this method when analysing the role of young peoples´ associations in the promotion of collective identities and the forming of an incipient opposition to Franco´s regime.
