Summary

This motion summarises the evolution of the solidarity and co-operation movement in the Basque Country over the last decades as a consequence of the changes operated in Basque society, as well as in the international context, by indicating the problems and challenges of the present time. The author approaches the genesis of the movement, the role of the various actors, the influence of public policies, the new challenges for the solidarity movement in the context of globalisation, and the movement´s projection and social incidence.
