Summary

During the French Revolution the institutions of the valley of Baigorry underwent certain modifications. Jean Etcheverry-Ainchar reports on the war supported by the Basques under the orders of the future Marshal Harispe against the Spanish troops; in this regard he emphasises the antagonism between Baigorry and the Aldudes. He also deals with the repercussions of the anti-religious struggle in the valley over that same period.
