Summary

The objective of this work is to analyse the organisation, composition, functions and attributions of the various institutions that configured the organisation of government and administration in Navarre during the Modern Age. The changes and adjustments carried out throughout the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries after the conquest of the kingdom by King Ferdinand in 1512 are also studied. A synthesis is furthermore provided on the various discussions and tensions that appeared between the court and the kingdom, due to different conceptions on the exercise of power, between the advocates of the "pactism" and the supporters of a full exercise of the "supreme authority of the king".
