Summary

On the origin of the Basques there is the Iberian theory that considers that the Basques are the ancient Iberians. With respect to the Basque language, the first written work appears in the 16th century. This study mentions several grammar books. The study then goes on to review the state of Basque linguistics. Thereafter, a study is made of Basque mores and folklore
