In the "Fueros" (Special jurisdictions) of Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia there were laws in order to prevent excessive expenses in weddings, burials, funerals and to avoid the scandals and damages that such acts tended to provoke. The author transcribes the law related to such acts in the "Fuero" of Gipuzkoa and mention is made to the "Fuero" of Bizkaia.
