Summary

The author introduces a list of words in the Basque gypsy slang. The Gypsies are split into three branches: those from the north ("manushes"), those from the center ("romi") and those gypsies or "cants", that receive the name "ijitos" or "motzailes". The language used by this last group is of Indian origin with quite a few Persian elements
