Summary

Basque ethos is activated once the death takes place, the detonator of which is the sacrifice of a member of Basque culture. As from this point, Basque culture starts to symbolise as a means of reconstructing itself, and such a reconstruction is to be carried out in various levels of society: in the sport, family and, in general, social levels. The confluence of the study will be carried out with respect to Aitor Zabaleta´s family.
