Summary

Brain injury is the origin of knowledge about cerebral function. J. de Ajuriaguerra demonstrated, from the outset, his continuous interest in the neurological and psychological pathologies of patients with brain injury. His work, together with others, has contributed to the development of neuropsychology. He also identi?ed care pathways for these patients.
