Summary

In the late nineteenth century there coexisted in time and space certain very different migratory phenomena such as the migration towards Basque industry and the migration to America. In this work we research on why certain populations experienced both phenomena simultaneously, and why an industrial society such as that in Baracaldo simultaneously experienced the arrival of thousands of immigrants to work in their new industries, while other individuals emigrated to America rather than stay in the industry.
