Summary

The republican David Jaime, president of the Council of Navarre, an organisation created in Bayonne in1946, reports on the activities by the Navarran democrats after the end of the Second World War to integrate themselves into the Spanish republican institutions (the Giral Government, 1945). Mention is also made of their activities to incorporate Navarre into the Basque Statute of Autonomy, and their resistance to the Franquist regime.
