Summary

This paper examines the new vaccines against human papillomavirus, pneumococcal and rotavirus. We look at their indications and problems concerning their availability to a large part of the population both around the world and in the Basque Country. As paediatricians, we are up against a prob-lem that is both health-related and ethical when it comes to recommending vaccines of dubious indication and/or are not funded by the state.
