The end of XXth Century is also the end of vernacular architecture. At this moment, five new models have arisen which transform vernacular architecture into a new modern and neovernacular version. From a critical and aesthetical perspective, this paper remarks the present and future of the architectural new rural paradigm in the Basque Country
