Summary

This work pretends to analyse the use of the past subjunctives in 18-century Gipuzkoa, with the object of determining the presence in those times of characteristic structure of the Spanish currently spoken in the region, si tendría; the analysis demonstrates, however, the nonexistence of this particularity in the 18th century, which forces us to date its birth at some time during the following centuries, brought about by courses that are as yet still unknown.
