Summary

In a context of the marginalisation of the Basque language, the different reports on Basque largely depend on the different ways of interpreting the myth of the singularity. One has to refer to the analysis of the history of the Basque identitary paradigm to understand the nature of the reports opposing or favouring the entry of Basque into the public sphere.
