Summary

The birth of the Autonomous Community of Castile-La Mancha is the consequence of the development of Title VIII of the 1978 Constitution and has little to do with historical demands or identitary mobilisations. In this case it is more of a political construction that will make use of the patrimonial discourse in a selective manner, with religion also playing a role, which was not in the forefront but was quite effective.
