Summary

Jihadism is a threat to the Western countries, especially those involved in recent military actions against ISIS in Syria and Iraq. By creating a biased and radicalized interpretation of Islam, Jihadism is on the warpath, taking advantage of the precarious situation and disenchantment of many young people, some of them born and educated in Europa. This article deals with the relationships violence, religion and politics. In it, I focus on Totalitarianism; the elimination of plurality; victimization at the service of the rule by force; new forms of propaganda and terrorist threats, the conflict within Islam, and the inconsistent responses of the Western countries to the Jihadist challenge.
