Summary

We try to explain some of the sorts of protection against thunder, injuries and illness used in the Basque Country. Some of them are still in use nowadays in the rural area of our Country. We try to present in this communication our collecting along the Basque Territory during 35 years. Some syncretic phenomenon still in use nowadays, even if in residual forms, can be observed. We classify these practices attending to their typology aswell as the materials used to make them.
