Summary

Up to the sixties, almost all big corporations were organized according to principles of taylorist-fordist production. This model showed to be too much rigid to satisfy the changing conditions of market and the employees?values. In the seventies and eighties, a rationalistic change appeared which was more and more based in the human work strenght as a valuable factor of production. "Sharing versus company engagement" was the slogan of compromise about the new models of production. According to the globalization of the market, and the global competitiveness, in the nineties, enterprises suffered a strong new rationalistic pressure. For this reason Lean model of production became the new image of enterprise rationalization.
