Summary

We analyse the hunting techniques practiced by Neanderthal societies of the Eastern Cantabrian based on the functional analysis of spearheads from Amalda and Axlor Mousterian levels. This study, which will be complemented with a review of the fauna, the lithic industry and the territory´s occupation models, will allow us to interpret the survival strategies of these groups.
