Summary

Tuna fishing campaigns carried out near Dakar allow the port of San Juan de Luz - Ciboure to save itself from a serious economic crisis that looms as from the nineteen-fifties. A solid cooperative organisation is created to organise fishing and defend the trade. But, at the end of the nineteen-sixties, industrial techniques appear in the maritime world. From then on, Basque fishermen are confined to coastal fishing, which marks the end of an exciting adventure.
