Contemporary music is stuck in a dead-end alley due to certain aesthetic and historical factors of diverse relevance: the demolition of traditional languages; the fading of the limits between high and popular art; the fading of the traditional limits between the arts; and, above all, the change in the types of complexity demanded by the consumers of culture.
