Summary

Jean Bion, consul of Guatemala in Bordeaux, makes an allegation in favour of Basque emigration to Guatemala, a country in need of capital and creative energies. Until the Second World War, the Germans occupiedan important place in the cultural field as well as in that of coffee exports (Guatemala is the third world power in this sector), but when the conflict finished they were expropriated and expelled. There has since been a vacant space in the economy of this country.
