Summary
This article introduces the evolution of the International Journal of Basque Studies between 1907 and the year 2000, distinguishing three stages with their respective characteristics. As from its foundation the Magazine -which was then directed by Julio de Urquijo, and which was soon to be integrated in the Basque Studies Society- constituted a meeting point for Bascologists from all over the world. Its contents constituted a fundamental contribution to Basque culture. After the compulsory suspension due to forty years of dictatorship, the Journal has tried to adaptits scientific and cultural function to the new context of late 20th century Vasconia.Sing up and download the publications of Eusko Ikaskuntza
