Summary

San Fernando square in Carmona has been historically -and to the present day- the center of social and ceremonial life of the old city. We will greatly enhance our understanding of the social uses of this emblematic public space if we study its historical vicissitudes, while at the same time directing our attention to modern-day events taking place in this charming plaza.
