Summary

Basque poetry written in Spanish is at the moment very dynamic and of a high quality. Without including writers of the category of Unamuno, Larrera or Blas de Otero, etc., it still presents a group of writers with a respectable literary level. Furthermore, in the world of literature in general there are times when Basque authors of the present century play an indisputable part. The strong current climate of Basque poetry together with the validity of the poetry which is being written in this country means that we can speak about a Golden Age of Basque poetry in Spanish.
