Summary

The aim of this article is to offer some annotations on the music of Xabier Lete (1944-2010). On the one hand, we will analyse the corpus of thirteen songs from Lete's oeuvre, observing the musical characteristics of these pieces and comparing the published versions in terms of their musical characteristics. On the other hand, with the aim of proposing a critical reading of the evolution of his work, we bring Lete's songs into contact with his poetic thought and its context. The aim is to lay the first foundations for further research into Lete's music.
