Summary

A study has been made of the corporal composition of a sampling of 297 adult subjects at risk in terms of malnutrition and this has been compared with a control sample of 149 subjects covering the same age range. An analysis of the results indicates that the sampling of males has turned out to be thinner than the control sample with respect to fat and muscular behaviours. Total body water also registers lower readings. The sample of women shows excess fat and weight with respect to the control sample independently of the method used to estimate fat mass.
