Summary

An analysis is made of women´s processes of socialisation in the Basque Camping Club in San Sebastián-Donostia from 1950 to 2008. The innovative strategies using mountain sports are studied. Such strategies were applied in order to increase the women´s initiative and autonomy, their relationships, their field of action, and the model of social participation, and checking on similarities and differences between then and now.
