Summary

Manuel of Irujo, on the basis of his experience as Minister of Justice of the 2nd Spanish Republic, exposes the problem of civil legislations within the Spanish State, as it is configured in 1948. All the peninsular regions are attached to their traditional institutions and to their civil law, and aspire to having such a law reflected in the regional codes that are complementary to the Civil Code. All of them are opposed to having their peculiar legislations substituted by Castilian law.
