Summary

In this paper we offer an analysis of the basic melodies produced by bilingual speakers from the south of the Basque speaking area. The type of phrases analysed are descriptive, absolute interrogative and interrogative pronominal. The data collected from 50 subjects have been analysed within the autosegmental metric theoretical model. Data have been collected from the same subjects both in Basque and Spanish, and have been used for comparative purposes.
